Bakround is an early stage, seed funded startup building a software product to help hiring companies and agencies calculate how well an applicant's qualifications meet job requirements (like FICO scores for job seekers). The product uses cutting-edge scoring algorithms and career path analytics and a pilot product has been launched with a regional staffing agency. The company is the founder's fourth entrepreneurial technology venture, with three successful past exits. Bakround is evaluating office space in Old City Philadelphia in the next few months.
The company is now seeking an Algorithm Specialist / Data Scientist who will apply complex mathematical / statistical methods and work with software developers to design Bakround's scoring algorithms. Qualified candidates will have an undergraduate or advanced degree in mathematics or a similar discipline and extensive knowledge of algorithm development and statistical analysis.
Salary commensurate with experience. Will consider both permanent or contract hire.
